Our story

We’re a group of friends and board game enthusiasts who spent countless hours enjoying games during our gatherings. Over time, we realized there were so many traditional games we had never played—games rich in culture, magic, and adventure that are slowly being forgotten. At the same time, we faced a practical challenge: buying individual board games was expensive, especially when we wanted to explore a wide variety.

With our backgrounds in robotics and technology, we decided to tackle this problem head-on. Our goal was clear: to create a game board that is cost-effective, versatile, and ideal for classic games. But it couldn’t just be a digital board—it had to preserve the tactile and immersive experience of traditional gameplay. Most importantly, it needed to be portable, so we could enjoy it anywhere—from home to restaurants, or even while camping.

After exploring countless designs, we discovered our favorite: a rollable game board. While the technology posed challenges, the portability and unique gaming experience it offered were worth the effort.

Through extensive research, countless trials, and inevitable failures, we finally designed Pixply—a cost-effective, portable, durable, rollable, hybrid game board. In short, the best portable classic game board ever. And we can’t wait to share it with you.
