The games needed to align with the product’s specialized LED-based resolution, which led us to focus on classic games. But this choice wasn’t just about technical compatibility—it opened the door to a treasure trove of forgotten classics from over 20 countries and regions worldwide.

Some games, like Chess, Ludo, and Backgammon, are universally recognized, but many others have faded from memory. These include ancient games from Africa, Brazil, India, Iran, China, Rome, Egypt, and beyond. Each carries its own stories, challenges, and glimpses into the mindsets and lifestyles of the past. Playing them feels like embarking on a historical journey, reconnecting with the entertainment and problem-solving of ancient civilizations.

We poured countless hours into researching historical books and resources to uncover and select games that best fit Pixply. This deep dive included studying original designs, rules, and variations that evolved over time. We meticulously recreated these games’ layouts and themes, breathing new life into timeless classics while honoring their cultural significance.

To complement the games, we designed a versatile set of game pieces, carefully crafted to cover all current games in a single pack while anticipating future expansions. This thoughtful approach ensures that players can enjoy an ever-growing library of experiences with ease.
